It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980 for having local significance in the theme of politics/government. It was nominated as an example of the municipal services offered by small villages such as Tenney, which measured only two square blocks. In 2011 the village, which had dwindled to three residents, voted 2–1 to dissolve as a separate municipality and become part of Campbell Township. ==Description== The Tenney Fire Hall was a wood frame building with sheet metal siding stamped with a brick pattern. The building was characterized by an oversized bell tower with a pyramidal roof and louvered windows.
